Big success for Kiril Nikolov

Top-runner Kiril Nikolov, member of «Variant 5», impressed today with one more excellent run during the European Championships in Orienteering. He is ranked 6th in the demanding long distance race, which has been won by Swiss Daniel Hubmann. We are very happy about the top result of Kiril, as it supports all the efforts of «Variant 5» to promote and develop Orienteering in Bulgaria as a cool sport for all generations.

Two of ours in top10 of Targovishte

First two competitors from the club’s top10 came into the top10 sportsmen in the Municipality Targovishte. The mayor of the city awarded the best competitors for 2009 during the special ceremony in the city-hall.

Kiril Nikolov – Disl got 2^nd place in the inquiry for the Sportsmen of the Year. He have achieved 6^th place in the World Champs in Hungary this summer and also gold medals from Balkan and National Championships. Valentin Kirilov was placed on 6^th place in the inquiry. He has got lots of medals of this year’s Balkan and National Championships, most of them were gold. Congratulations for their achievement.

Sportsman of the Year of Targovishte in a second straight year became Yanina Stancheva. She is a sport shooting competitor and has got a bronze medal from the European Champs this year.
